An innovative take on adidas Superstar shoes inspired by negative space. While the upper of the Y-3 Gendo Superstar comes from one of the most classic adidas silhouettes, these trainers focus on the future and are one of the most innovative and daring Y-3 shoes to date. The fully hollow TPU plate plays with the idea of negative space and elevation  a Japanese concept in which empty space creates deeper meaning and shape. Yohji Yamamoto's signature is carved onto the TPU plate alongside other iconic details of the adidas Superstar shoes, such as the rubber shell toe.
